For one thing, there's an ABBA deadlock on hpfs fs-wide lock and i_mutex
in hpfs_dir_lseek() - there's a lot of methods that grab the former with
the caller already holding the latter, so it must take i_mutex first.

For another, locking the damn thing, carefully validating the offset,
then dropping locks and assigning the offset is obviously racy.

Moreover, we _must_ do hpfs_add_pos(), or the machinery in dnode.c
won't modify the sucker on B-tree surgeries.

Just the flags; only NFS cares even about that, but there are
legitimate uses for such argument.  And getting rid of that
completely would require splitting -&gt;lookup() into a couple
of methods (at least), so let's leave that alone for now...

This converts everybody to handle SEEK_HOLE/SEEK_DATA properly.  In some cases
we just return -EINVAL, in others we do the normal generic thing, and in others
we're simply making sure that the properly due-dilligence is done.  For example
in NFS/CIFS we need to make sure the file size is update properly for the
SEEK_HOLE and SEEK_DATA case, but since it calls the generic llseek stuff itself
that is all we have to do.  Thanks,

This removes the BKL in hpfs in a rather awful
way, by making the code only work on uniprocessor
systems without kernel preemption, as suggested
by Andi Kleen.

The HPFS code probably has close to zero remaining
users on current kernels, all archeological uses of
the file system can probably be done with the significant
restrictions.

The hpfs_lock/hpfs_unlock functions are left in the
code, sincen Mikulas has indicated that he is still
interested in fixing it in a better way.
