Some architectures require code written to memory as if it were data to be
'cleaned' from any data caches before the processor can fetch them as new
instructions.

During resume from hibernate, the snapshot code copies some pages directly,
meaning these architectures do not get a chance to perform their cache
maintenance. Modify the read and decompress code to call
flush_icache_range() on all pages that are restored, so that the restored
in-place pages are guaranteed to be executable on these architectures.

instead add a modified version of the blk-lib.c bio_batch helpers.

Also move the block I/O code into swap.c as they are directly tied into

When wakelock support was added, the wakeup_source_add() function
was updated to set the last_time value of the wakeup source. This
has the unintended side effect of producing confusing output from
pm_print_active_wakeup_sources() when a wakeup source is added
prior to a sleep that is blocked by a different wakeup source.

The function pm_print_active_wakeup_sources() will search for the
most recently active wakeup source when no active source is found.
If a wakeup source is added after a different wakeup source blocks
the system from going to sleep it may have a later last_time value
than the blocking source and be output as the last active wakeup
source even if it has never actually been active.

It looks to me like the change to wakeup_source_add() was made to
prevent the wakelock garbage collection from accidentally dropping
a wakelock during the narrow window between adding the wakelock to
the wakelock list in wakelock_lookup_add() and the activation of
the wakeup source in pm_wake_lock().

This commit changes the behavior so that only the last_time of the
wakeup source used by a wakelock is initialized prior to adding it
to the wakeup source list. This preserves the meaning of the
last_time value as the last time the wakeup source was active and
allows a wakeup source that has never been active to have a
last_time value of 0.

Restore the processor state before calling any other functions to
ensure per-CPU variables can be used with KASLR memory randomization.

Tracing functions use per-CPU variables (GS based on x86) and one was
called just before restoring the processor state fully. It resulted
in a double fault when both the tracing &amp; the exception handler
functions tried to use a per-CPU variable.

Many harddisks (mostly WD ones) have firmware problems and take too
long, more than 10 seconds, to resume from suspend.  And this often
exceeds the default DPM watchdog timeout (12 seconds), resulting in a
kernel panic out of sudden.

Since most distros just take the default as is, we should give a bit
more safer value.  This patch increases the default value from 12
seconds to one minute, which has been confirmed to be long enough for
such problematic disks.

If a device's dev_pm_ops::freeze callback fails during the QUIESCE
phase, we don't rollback things correctly calling the thaw and complete
callbacks. This could leave some devices in a suspended state in case of
an error during resuming from hibernation.

PM freezer relies on having all tasks frozen by the time devices are
getting frozen so that no task will touch them while they are getting
frozen. But OOM killer is allowed to kill an already frozen task in
order to handle OOM situtation. In order to protect from late wake ups
OOM killer is disabled after all tasks are frozen. This, however, still
keeps a window open when a killed task didn't manage to die by the time
freeze_processes finishes.

Reduce the race window by checking all tasks after OOM killer has been
disabled. This is still not race free completely unfortunately because
oom_killer_disable cannot stop an already ongoing OOM killer so a task
might still wake up from the fridge and get killed without
freeze_processes noticing. Full synchronization of OOM and freezer is,
however, too heavy weight for this highly unlikely case.

Introduce and check oom_kills counter which gets incremented early when
the allocator enters __alloc_pages_may_oom path and only check all the
tasks if the counter changes during the freezing attempt. The counter
is updated so early to reduce the race window since allocator checked
oom_killer_disabled which is set by PM-freezing code. A false positive
will push the PM-freezer into a slow path but that is not a big deal.

Changes since v1
- push the re-check loop out of freeze_processes into
  check_frozen_processes and invert the condition to make the code more
  readable as per Rafael

The commit [247bc037: PM / Sleep: Mitigate race between the freezer
and request_firmware()] introduced the finer state control, but it
also leads to a new bug; for example, a bug report regarding the
firmware loading of intel BT device at suspend/resume:

The root cause seems to be a small window between the process resume
and the clear of usermodehelper lock.  The request_firmware() function
checks the UMH lock and gives up when it's in UMH_DISABLE state.  This
is for avoiding the invalid  f/w loading during suspend/resume phase.
The problem is, however, that usermodehelper_enable() is called at the
end of thaw_processes().  Thus, a thawed process in between can kick
off the f/w loader code path (in this case, via btusb_setup_intel())
even before the call of usermodehelper_enable().  Then
usermodehelper_read_trylock() returns an error and request_firmware()
spews WARN_ON() in the end.

This oneliner patch fixes the issue just by setting to UMH_FREEZING
state again before restarting tasks, so that the call of
request_firmware() will be blocked until the end of this function
instead of returning an error.
