2023-12-08ASoC: wm2200: Convert to GPIO descriptorsLinus Walleij1-2/+11
This converts the WM2200 codec to use GPIO descriptors. This is a pretty straight-forward conversion, and it also switches over the single in-tree user in the S3C Cragganmore module for S3C 6410. This coded does not seem to get selected or be selectable through Kconfig, I had to hack another soundcard Kconfig entry to select it for compile tests. 2023-12-08ASoC: wm1250-ev1: Convert to GPIO descriptorsLinus Walleij1-12/+12
This converts the WM1250-EV1 codec to use GPIO descriptors. It turns out that the platform data was only used to pass some global GPIO numbers from a board file, so we get rid of this and also switch over the single in-tree user in the S3C Cragganmore module for S3C 6410. The driver obtains two GPIO lines named OSR and master and just pull them low, we leave this behaviour as it was. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mmind/linux-rockchip into arm/fixes Devicetree fixes for the 6.7-cycle. All over the place this time. From adapting the size of the vdec nodes on rk3328 and rk3399, fixing some wrong pinctrl settings on rk3128 and the Turing RK1 board, emmc-settings fixes on rk3588 and interrupt-name mishaps, down to some dt-cleanups. Also this adds the missing rockchip,rk3588-pmugrf compatible to the soc grf binding, that I somehow messed up during the pull requests for the -rc1 . 2023-12-06kernel/Kconfig.kexec: drop select of KEXEC for CRASH_DUMPBaoquan He2-5/+1
Ignat Korchagin complained that a potential config regression was introduced by commit 89cde455915f ("kexec: consolidate kexec and crash options into kernel/Kconfig.kexec"). Before the commit, CONFIG_CRASH_DUMP has no dependency on CONFIG_KEXEC. After the commit, CRASH_DUMP selects KEXEC. That enforces system to have CONFIG_KEXEC=y as long as CONFIG_CRASH_DUMP=Y which people may not want. In Ignat's case, he sets CONFIG_CRASH_DUMP=y, CONFIG_KEXEC_FILE=y and CONFIG_KEXEC=n because kexec_load interface could have security issue if kernel/initrd has no chance to be signed and verified. CRASH_DUMP has select of KEXEC because Eric, author of above commit, met a LKP report of build failure when posting patch of earlier version. Please see below link to get detail of the LKP report: https://lore.kernel.org/all/3e8eecd1-a277-2cfb-690e-5de2eb7b988e@oracle.com/T/#u In fact, that LKP report is triggered because arm's <asm/kexec.h> is wrapped in CONFIG_KEXEC ifdeffery scope. That is wrong. CONFIG_KEXEC controls the enabling/disabling of kexec_load interface, but not kexec feature. Removing the wrongly added CONFIG_KEXEC ifdeffery scope in <asm/kexec.h> of arm allows us to drop the select KEXEC for CRASH_DUMP. Meanwhile, change arch/arm/kernel/Makefile to let machine_kexec.o relocate_kernel.o depend on KEXEC_CORE. 2023-12-05arm: perf: Remove PMU lockingAnshuman Khandual3-103/+13
Currently the 32-bit arm PMU drivers use the pmu_hw_events::lock spinlock in their arm_pmu::{start,stop,enable,disable}() callbacks to protect hardware state and event data. This locking is not necessary as the perf core code already provides mutual exclusion, disabling interrupts to serialize against the IRQ handler, and using perf_event_context::lock to protect against concurrent modifications of events cross-cpu. The locking was removed from the arm64 (now PMUv3) PMU driver in commit: 2a0e2a02e4b7 ("arm64: perf: Remove PMU locking") ... and the same reasoning applies to all the 32-bit PMU drivers. Remove the locking from the 32-bit PMU drivers. 2023-12-05ARM: dts: imx6ul-pico: Describe the Ethernet PHY clockFabio Estevam1-0/+2
Since commit c7e73b5051d6 ("ARM: imx: mach-imx6ul: remove 14x14 EVK specific PHY fixup")thet Ethernet PHY is no longer configured via code in board file. This caused Ethernet to stop working. Fix this problem by describing the clocks and clock-names to the Ethernet PHY node so that the KSZ8081 chip can be clocked correctly. 2023-12-05ARM: 9329/1: kasan: Use memblock_alloc_try_nid_raw for shadow pageMark-PK Tsai1-1/+7
kasan_pte_populate fill KASAN_SHADOW_INIT in the newly allocated shadow page, so it's unnecessary to use memblock_alloc_try_nid, which always zero the new allocated memory. Use memblock_alloc_try_nid_raw instead of memblock_alloc_try_nid like arm64 does which can make kasan init faster.
