2024-03-17powerpc: Handle error in mark_rodata_ro() and mark_initmem_nx()Christophe Leroy1-3/+7
mark_rodata_ro() and mark_initmem_nx() use functions that can fail like set_memory_nx() and set_memory_ro(), leading to a not protected kernel. In case of failure, panic. 2023-10-19powerpc/nohash: Add _PAGE_WRITE to supplement _PAGE_RWChristophe Leroy1-2/+2
Several places, _PAGE_RW maps to write permission and don't always imply read. To make it more clear, do as book3s/64 in commit c7d54842deb1 ("powerpc/mm: Use _PAGE_READ to indicate Read access") and use _PAGE_WRITE when more relevant. For the time being _PAGE_WRITE is equivalent to _PAGE_RW but that will change when _PAGE_READ gets added in following patches. 2023-10-19powerpc: Rely on address instead of pte_user()Christophe Leroy1-1/+1
pte_user() may return 'false' when a user page is PAGE_NONE. In that case it is still a user page and needs to be handled as such. So use is_kernel_addr() instead. And remove "user" text from ptdump as ptdump only dumps kernel tables. Note: no change done for book3s/64 which still has it 'priviledge' bit. 2022-09-26powerpc: Remove CONFIG_PPC_FSL_BOOK3EChristophe Leroy1-0/+375
CONFIG_PPC_FSL_BOOK3E is redundant with CONFIG_PPC_E500. Remove it. And rename five files accordingly.
