2022-08-11i2c: move drivers from strlcpy to strscpyWolfram Sang1-1/+1
Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy'. Conversion is easy because no driver used the return value and has been done with a simple sed invocation. 2021-11-29i2c: cbus-gpio: set atomic transfer callbackAaro Koskinen1-2/+3
CBUS transfers have always been atomic, but after commit 63b96983a5dd ("i2c: core: introduce callbacks for atomic transfers") we started to see warnings during e.g. poweroff as the atomic callback is not explicitly set. Fix that. Fixes the following WARNING seen during Nokia N810 power down: [ 786.570617] reboot: Power down [ 786.573913] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 786.578826] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 672 at drivers/i2c/i2c-core.h:40 i2c_smbus_xfer+0x100/0x110 [ 786.587799] No atomic I2C transfer handler for 'i2c-2' Fixes: 63b96983a5dd ("i2c: core: introduce callbacks for atomic transfers") Signed-off-by: Aaro Koskinen <aaro.koskinen@iki.fi> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@kernel.org>
2019-02-08i2c: cbus-gpio: Switch to use GPIO descriptorsLinus Walleij1-50/+30
This augments the CBUS GPIO I2C driver to use GPIO descriptors for clock, sel and data. We drop the platform data that was only used for carrying GPIO numbers and use machine descriptor tables instead. 2014-10-20i2c: busses: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-01-24i2c: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2013-11-15i2c: cbus-gpio: Fix device tree bindingTony Lindgren1-0/+2
Looks like we're missing two lines needed to make it work properly with device tree. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Tested-by: Aaro Koskinen <aaro.koskinen@iki.fi> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-08-19i2c: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-2/+3
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-04-02i2c: Ignore return value of i2c_del_adapter()Lars-Peter Clausen1-1/+3
i2c_del_adapter() always returns 0. So all checks testing whether it will be non zero will always evaluate to false and the conditional code is dead code. This patch updates all callers of i2c_del_mux_adapter() to ignore the return value and assume that it will always succeed (which it will). In a subsequent patch the return type of i2c_del_adapter() will be made void. 2012-11-19i2c: i2c-cbus-gpio: introduce driverAaro Koskinen1-0/+300
Add i2c driver to enable access to devices behind CBUS on Nokia Internet Tablets. The patch also adds CBUS I2C configuration for N8x0 which is one of the users of this driver.
