2022-01-09cxgb4: Remove useless DMA-32 fallback configurationChristophe JAILLET1-12/+5
As stated in [1], dma_set_mask() with a 64-bit mask never fails if dev->dma_mask is non-NULL. So, if it fails, the 32 bits case will also fail for the same reason. So, if dma_set_mask_and_coherent() succeeds, 'highdma' is known to be true. Simplify code and remove some dead code accordingly. 2021-12-14iw_cxgb4: Use memset_startat() for cpl_t5_pass_accept_rplKees Cook1-1/+1
In preparation for FORTIFY_SOURCE performing compile-time and run-time field bounds checking for memset(), avoid intentionally writing across neighboring fields. Use memset_startat() so memset() doesn't get confused about writing beyond the destination member that is intended to be the starting point of zeroing through the end of the struct. Additionally, since everything appears to perform a roundup (including allocation), just change the size of the struct itself and add a build-time check to validate the expected size. 2021-11-19cxgb4: Use struct_group() for memcpy() regionKees Cook2-7/+11
In preparation for FORTIFY_SOURCE performing compile-time and run-time field bounds checking for memcpy(), memmove(), and memset(), avoid intentionally writing across neighboring fields. Use struct_group() in struct fw_eth_tx_pkt_vm_wr around members ethmacdst, ethmacsrc, ethtype, and vlantci, so they can be referenced together. This will allow memcpy() and sizeof() to more easily reason about sizes, improve readability, and avoid future warnings about writing beyond the end of ethmacdst. "pahole" shows no size nor member offset changes to struct fw_eth_tx_pkt_vm_wr. "objdump -d" shows no object code changes. Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2021-07-08cxgb4: fix IRQ free race during driver unloadShahjada Abul Husain2-8/+13
IRQs are requested during driver's ndo_open() and then later freed up in disable_interrupts() during driver unload. A race exists where driver can set the CXGB4_FULL_INIT_DONE flag in ndo_open() after the disable_interrupts() in driver unload path checks it, and hence misses calling free_irq(). Fix by unregistering netdevice first and sync with driver's ndo_open(). This ensures disable_interrupts() checks the flag correctly and frees up the IRQs properly. The TID returned during successful filter creation is relative to the region in which the filter is created. 2021-06-11cxgb4: halt chip before flashing PHY firmware imageRahul Lakkireddy1-3/+19
When using firmware-assisted PHY firmware image write to flash, halt the chip before beginning the flash write operation to allow the running firmware to store the image persistently.
