2024-07-09wifi: mt76: mt762x: extend mt76_connac_mcu_sta_basic_tlv for per-link STASean Wang1-1/+4
Extend mt76_connac_mcu_sta_basic_tlv with the per-link STA configuration. The patch we created is a prerequisite to enable the MLO function in the driver. It is purely a refactoring patch so the functionality should remain unchanged. 2024-06-20wifi: mt76: un-embedd netdev from mt76_devBreno Leitao1-1/+1
Embedding net_device into structures prohibits the usage of flexible arrays in the net_device structure. For more details, see the discussion at [1]. Un-embed the net_devices from struct mt76_dev by converting them into pointers, and allocating them dynamically. Use the leverage alloc_netdev_dummy() to allocate the net_device object at mt76_dma_init(). The free of the device occurs at mt76_dma_cleanup(). 2024-05-02wifi: mt76: mt7996: let upper layer handle MGMT frame protectionMichael-CY Lee1-4/+5
The firmware support for management frame protection has limitations: - do not support cipher BIP-GMAC-128 and BIP-GMAC-256 - support cipher BIP-CMAC-128 and BIP-CMAC-256, except action frame with action type 'not robust'. Therefore, to simplify the logic, do not set the IGTK to firmware and let the encryption of management frames be handled by upper layer. 2024-05-02wifi: mt76: connac: enable critical packet mode support for mt7992Howard Hsu3-0/+22
For mt7992 chipsets, critical packet mode should be properly configured to let the HW SDO module correctly fill the AC queue in TX descriptors of some higher priority packets such as ARP and ICMP. Without this patch, HW queues may hang when running MU traffic. 2024-05-02wifi: mt76: connac: use peer address for station BMC entryShayne Chen3-9/+14
Set peer address and aid for the BMC wtbl of station interface. For some functions such as parsing MU_EDCA parameters from beacon, firmware will need the peer address to do correct parsing. 2024-05-02wifi: mt76: mt7996: disable rx header translation for BMC entryShayne Chen1-4/+5
When a BMC wtbl of station interface is correctly set with peer address, HW will do rx header translation for broadcast data packets, which makes mac80211 unable to find the corresponding ieee80211_sta and drop the packets. 2024-02-22wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix incorrect interpretation of EHT MCS capsBenjamin Lin1-2/+14
The EHT MCS map subfield of 20 MHz-Only is not present in the EHT capability of AP, so STA does not need to parse the subfield. Moreover, AP should parse the subfield only if STA is 20 MHz-Only, which can be confirmed by checking supported channel width in HE capability. 2024-02-08wifi: mac80211: simplify non-chanctx driversJohannes Berg1-0/+4
There are still surprisingly many non-chanctx drivers, but in mac80211 that code is a bit awkward. Simplify this by having those drivers assign 'emulated' ops, so that the mac80211 code can be more unified between non-chanctx/chanctx drivers. This cuts the number of places caring about it by about 15, which are scattered across - now they're fewer and no longer in the channel context handling. 2023-12-07wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix mt7996_mcu_all_sta_info_event struct packingArnd Bergmann1-3/+3
The internal struct and union inside mt7996_mcu_all_sta_info_event is marked as being aligned, which conflicts with it being unaligned within that structure: drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt76/mt7996/mcu.h:165:2: error: field within 'struct mt7996_mcu_all_sta_info_event' is less aligned than 'union mt7996_mcu_all_sta_info_event::(anonymous at ../drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt76/mt7996/mcu.h:165:2)' and is usually due to 'struct mt7996_mcu_all_sta_info_event' being packed, which can lead to unaligned accesses [-Werror,-Wunaligned-access] Mark all three as being packed as well to ensure byte packing for the entire thing.
