2024-03-06soc: fsl: qbman: Remove RESERVEDMEM_OF_DECLARE usageRob Herring1-4/+8
There is no reason to use RESERVEDMEM_OF_DECLARE() as the initialization hook just saves off the base address and size. Use of RESERVEDMEM_OF_DECLARE() is reserved for non-driver code and initialization which must be done early. For qbman, retrieving the address and size can be done in probe just as easily. 2023-04-14soc: fsl: Use of_property_present() for testing DT property presenceRob Herring1-4/+4
It is preferred to use typed property access functions (i.e. of_property_read_<type> functions) rather than low-level of_get_property/of_find_property functions for reading properties. As part of this, convert of_get_property/of_find_property calls to the recently added of_property_present() helper when we just want to test for presence of a property and nothing more. 2019-08-15soc/fsl/qbman: Update device tree with reserved memoryRoy Pledge1-24/+36
When using the reserved memory node in the device tree there are two options - dynamic or static. If a dynamic allocation was selected (where the kernel selects the address for the allocation) convert it to a static allocation by inserting the reg property. This will ensure the same memory is reused after a kexec() Signed-off-by: Roy Pledge <roy.pledge@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com>
2019-08-15soc/fsl/qbman: Rework QBMan private memory setupRoy Pledge1-4/+3
Rework QBMan private memory setup so that the areas are not zeroed if the device was previously initialized If the QMan private memory was already initialized skip the PFDR initialization. Signed-off-by: Roy Pledge <roy.pledge@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com>
2019-01-08cross-tree: phase out dma_zalloc_coherent()Luis Chamberlain1-1/+1
We already need to zero out memory for dma_alloc_coherent(), as such using dma_zalloc_coherent() is superflous. Phase it out. This change was generated with the following Coccinelle SmPL patch: @ replace_dma_zalloc_coherent @ expression dev, size, data, handle, flags; @@ -dma_zalloc_coherent(dev, size, handle, flags) +dma_alloc_coherent(dev, size, handle, flags) Suggested-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Luis Chamberlain <mcgrof@kernel.org> [hch: re-ran the script on the latest tree] Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>
2017-09-22soc/fsl/qbman: Add common routine for QBMan private allocationsRoy Pledge1-0/+78
The QBMan device uses several memory regions to manage frame queues and buffers. Add a common routine for extracting and initializing these reserved memory areas.
