commit 151c0aa896c47a4459e07fee7d4843f44c1bb18e upstream.
1. In func configfs_composite_bind() -> composite_os_desc_req_prepare():
if kmalloc fails, the pointer cdev->os_desc_req will be freed but not
set to NULL. Then it will return a failure to the upper-level function.
2. in func configfs_composite_bind() -> composite_dev_cleanup():
it will checks whether cdev->os_desc_req is NULL. If it is not NULL, it
will attempt to use it.This will lead to a use-after-free issue.

commit 62783c30d78aecf9810dae46fd4d11420ad38b74 upstream.
In hidg_bind(), if alloc_workqueue() fails after usb_assign_descriptors()
has successfully allocated the USB descriptors, the current error handling
does not call usb_free_all_descriptors() to free the allocated descriptors,
resulting in a memory leak.
Restructure the error handling by adding proper cleanup labels:
- fail_free_all: cleans up workqueue and descriptors
- fail_free_descs: cleans up descriptors only
- fail: original cleanup for earlier failures
This ensures that allocated resources are properly freed in reverse order
of their allocation, preventing the memory leak when alloc_workqueue() fails.

commit 323a80a1a5ace319a722909c006d5bdb2a35d273 upstream.
Fix NULL pointer crash in uvcg_framebased_make due to uninitialized color
matching descriptor for frame-based format which was added in
commit f5e7bdd34aca ("usb: gadget: uvc: Allow creating new color matching
descriptors") that added handling for uncompressed and mjpeg format.
Crash is seen when userspace configuration (via configfs) does not
explicitly define the color matching descriptor. If color_matching is not
found, config_group_find_item() returns NULL. The code then jumps to
out_put_cm, where it calls config_item_put(color_matching);. If
color_matching is NULL, this will dereference a null pointer, leading to a
crash.

commit 3014168731b7930300aab656085af784edc861f6 upstream.
When writing an empty string to either 'qw_sign' or 'landingPage'
sysfs attributes, the store functions attempt to access page[l - 1]
before validating that the length 'l' is greater than zero.
This patch fixes the vulnerability by adding a check at the beginning
of os_desc_qw_sign_store() and webusb_landingPage_store() to handle
the zero-length input case gracefully by returning immediately.

commit f6c7bc4a6823a0a959f40866a1efe99bd03c2c5b upstream.
This reverts commit ffd603f214237e250271162a5b325c6199a65382.
Commit ffd603f21423 ("usb: gadget: u_serial: Add null pointer check in
gs_start_io") adds null pointer checks at the beginning of the
gs_start_io() function to prevent a null pointer dereference. However,
these checks are redundant because the function's comment already
requires callers to hold the port_lock and ensure port.tty and port_usb
are not null. All existing callers already follow these rules.
The true cause of the null pointer dereference is a race condition. When
gs_start_io() calls either gs_start_rx() or gs_start_tx(), the port_lock
is temporarily released for usb_ep_queue(). This allows port.tty and
port_usb to be cleared.

commit c529c3730bd09115684644e26bf01ecbd7e2c2c9 upstream.
A race condition occurs when gs_start_io() calls either gs_start_rx() or
gs_start_tx(), as those functions briefly drop the port_lock for
usb_ep_queue(). This allows gs_close() and gserial_disconnect() to clear
port.tty and port_usb, respectively.
Use the null-safe TTY Port helper function to wake up TTY.
Example
CPU1: CPU2:
gserial_connect() // lock
gs_close() // await lock
gs_start_rx() // unlock
usb_ep_queue()
gs_close() // lock, reset port.tty and unlock
gs_start_rx() // lock
tty_wakeup() // NPE

[ Upstream commit 153874010354d050f62f8ae25cbb960c17633dc5 ]
The variable tpgt in usbg_make_tpg() is defined as unsigned long and is
assigned to tpgt->tport_tpgt, which is defined as u16. This may cause an
integer overflow when tpgt is greater than USHRT_MAX (65535). I
haven't tried to trigger it myself, but it is possible to trigger it
by calling usbg_make_tpg() with a large value for tpgt.
I modified the type of tpgt to match tpgt->tport_tpgt and adjusted the
relevant code accordingly.

commit fe7f7ac8e0c708446ff017453add769ffc15deed upstream.
Update struct hid_descriptor to better reflect the mandatory and
optional parts of the HID Descriptor as per USB HID 1.11 specification.
Note: the kernel currently does not parse any optional HID class
descriptors, only the mandatory report descriptor.
Update all references to member element desc[0] to rpt_desc.
Add test to verify bLength and bNumDescriptors values are valid.
Replace the for loop with direct access to the mandatory HID class
descriptor member for the report descriptor. This eliminates the
possibility of getting an out-of-bounds fault.
Add a warning message if the HID descriptor contains any unsupported
optional HID class descriptors.

Currently when the host sends GET_STATUS request for an interface,
we use get_status callbacks to set/clear remote wakeup capability
of that interface. And if get_status callback isn't present for
that interface, then we assume its remote wakeup capability based
on bmAttributes.
Now consider a scenario, where we have a USB configuration with
multiple interfaces (say ECM + ADB), here ECM is remote wakeup
capable and as of now ADB isn't. And bmAttributes will indicate
the device as wakeup capable. With the current implementation,
when host sends GET_STATUS request for both interfaces, we will
set FUNC_RW_CAP for both. This results in USB3 CV Chapter 9.15
(Function Remote Wakeup Test) failures as host expects remote
wakeup from both interfaces.
The above scenario is just an example, and the failure can be
observed if we use configuration with any interface except ECM.
Hence avoid configuring remote wakeup capability from composite
driver based on bmAttributes, instead use get_status callbacks
and let the function drivers decide this.

The variable d->name, returned by devm_kasprintf(), could be NULL.
A pointer check is added to prevent potential NULL pointer dereference.
This is similar to the fix in commit 3027e7b15b02

Currently the USB gadget will be set as bus-powered based solely
on whether its bMaxPower is greater than 100mA, but this may miss
devices that may legitimately draw less than 100mA but still want
to report as bus-powered. Similarly during suspend & resume, USB
gadget is incorrectly marked as bus/self powered without checking
the bmAttributes field. Fix these by configuring the USB gadget
as self or bus powered based on bmAttributes, and explicitly set
it as bus-powered if it draws more than 100mA.

Currently while UDC suspends, u_ether attempts to remote wakeup
the host if there are any pending transfers. However, if remote
wakeup fails, the UDC remains suspended but the is_suspend flag
is not set. And since is_suspend flag isn't set, the subsequent
eth_start_xmit() would queue USB requests to suspended UDC.
To fix this, bail out from gether_suspend() only if remote wakeup
operation is successful.

The behaviour of kthread_create_worker() was recently changed to align
with the one of kthread_create(). The kthread worker is created but not
awaken by default. This is to allow the use of kthread_affine_preferred()
and kthread_bind[_mask]() with kthread workers. In order to keep the
old behaviour and wake the kthread up, kthread_run_worker() must be
used. All the pre-existing users have been converted, except for UVC
that was introduced in the same merge window as the API change.
This results in hangs:

The names RESERVE and RELEASE are not only used in <scsi/scsi_proto.h> but
also elsewhere in the kernel:
$ git grep -nHE 'define[[:blank:]]*(RESERVE|RELEASE)[[:blank:]]'

drivers/s390/char/tape_std.h:58:#define RESERVE 0xF4 /* 3420 NOP, 3480 REJECT */
Additionally, while the names of the symbolic constants RESERVE_10 and
RELEASE_10 include the command length, the command length is not included
in the RESERVE and RELEASE names. Address both issues by renaming the
RESERVE and RELEASE constants into RESERVE_6 and RELEASE_6 respectively.

While the MIDI jacks are configured correctly, and the MIDIStreaming
endpoint descriptors are filled with the correct information,
bNumEmbMIDIJack and bLength are set incorrectly in these descriptors.
This does not matter when the numbers of in and out ports are equal, but
when they differ the host will receive broken descriptors with
uninitialized stack memory leaking into the descriptor for whichever
value is smaller.
The precise meaning of "in" and "out" in the port counts is not clearly
defined and can be confusing. But elsewhere the driver consistently
uses this to match the USB meaning of IN and OUT viewed from the host,
so that "in" ports send data to the host and "out" ports receive data
from it.

retries
The current implementation sets the wMaxPacketSize of bulk in/out
endpoints to 1024 bytes at the end of the f_midi_bind function. However,
in cases where there is a failure in the first midi bind attempt,
consider rebinding. This scenario may encounter an f_midi_bind issue due
to the previous bind setting the bulk endpoint's wMaxPacketSize to 1024
bytes, which exceeds the ep->maxpacket_limit where configured dwc3 TX/RX
FIFO's maxpacket size of 512 bytes for IN/OUT endpoints in support HS
speed only.
Here the term "rebind" in this context refers to attempting to bind the
MIDI function a second time in certain scenarios. The situations where
rebinding is considered include:
* When there is a failure in the first UDC write attempt, which may be
caused by other functions bind along with MIDI.
* Runtime composition change : Example : MIDI,ADB to MIDI. Or MIDI to
MIDI,ADB.
This commit addresses this issue by resetting the wMaxPacketSize before
endpoint claim. And here there is no need to reset all values in the usb
endpoint descriptor structure, as all members except wMaxPacketSize and
bEndpointAddress have predefined values.
This ensures that restores the endpoint to its expected configuration,
and preventing conflicts with value of ep->maxpacket_limit. It also
aligns with the approach used in other function drivers, which treat
endpoint descriptors as if they were full speed before endpoint claim.

Since commit 88785982a19d ("media: vb2: use lock if wait_prepare/finish
are NULL") it is no longer needed to set the wait_prepare/finish
vb2_ops callbacks as long as the lock field in vb2_queue is set.
Since the vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish callbacks already rely on that field,
we can safely drop these callbacks.
This simplifies the code and this is a step towards the goal of deleting
these callbacks.

Replace ternary (condition ? "enable" : "disable") syntax with helpers
from string_choices.h because:
1. Simple function call with one argument is easier to read. Ternary
operator has three arguments and with wrapping might lead to quite
long code.
2. Is slightly shorter thus also easier to read.
3. It brings uniformity in the text - same string.
4. Allows deduping by the linker, which results in a smaller binary
file.
